Daily Wireless writes:
Tom Higgins tipped off DailyWireless to an innovative project within Linksys. Called the LinkSysCommunity Network, the company will provide fast, powerful and inexpensive solutions for Community LANs. Although still in beta testing, the LinkSys Community Network will feature:

* A simple to use and configure essid (it's 'linksys')
* 'Soft Security', for faster access to software updates & configuration changes by public users

The Linksys Super Node will sport three stacked amplifiers, providing a large coverage area.
Setting up the SuperNode is easy, just go to defaultcommunitynetwork and click.

"Just point your broswser to it's IP address, usually 192.168.1.1. You'll be asked for a username which should be set to "admin" and a password which you also set to "admin" to get started.
Once you do this, you'll want to find the field that says "default" and type "linksys" in there. Click the "submit" button and things should be ready to go."
